The Purdue Animal Sciences Department is celebrating its 125th anniversary during the 2024-2025 school year! The department was established in the 1899-1900 school year, when Dr. Charles Sumner Plumb was named Associate Professor of Animal Industry and Dairying. #PurdueANSC Alumni Spotlight: Growing up on a farm in Indiana, Jeffrey Veenhuizen, Ph.D., developed a strong connection to agriculture and animal sciences from an early age. His family farm raised cattle, sheep and goats while also producing crops, and this upbringing led him to Purdue University to study animal sciences. https://lnkd.in/gTE-qfEZ
