Excited to share what my team at Pulumi has been cooking for the last couple of months! Pulumi Components now lets you author in one language and consume in any other language - including YAML. We wanted to meet users where they are without making them write plumbing code, so while the API is simple, there's sophisticated machinery behind the scenes enabling cross-language infrastructure abstractions. Platform teams can build in their preferred language while developers use simpler interfaces. Check out the full blog post to see it in action!

How do you balance security and agility in #InfrastructureAsCode (IaC) stacks? #Security is a cornerstone of any infrastructure platform, but restrictive policies can slow teams down. Here are four best practices to secure your IaC stacks without sacrificing velocity: 1. Enforce Least Privilege with RBAC Set default stack permissions to Read or None. Only grant write access when absolutely necessary—this keeps security tight and reduces risk. 2. Assign Permissions Thoughtfully Use teams to grant only the required access. If your org-level settings already allow Read access, avoid unnecessary duplicate permissions at the team level. 3. Manage #RBAC Declaratively RBAC should be defined in code just like infrastructure—this ensures consistency and automation when managing team access. 4. Enable User-Created Stacks Allow developers to create their own stacks to avoid bottlenecks. Over-restricting this can slow innovation and overload admins with manual approvals.
