Isn't it great when a plan comes together? ? That’s how I feel about the recent Microbiology Lab project at The University of Kansas Health System's Strawberry Hill Campus. ? Yesterday I helped lead tours of the lab alongside the project team to members of KCAHE (Kansas City Area Healthcare Engineers) group. ? I'm particularly proud of the chilled beam HVAC system, which minimized first costs and operating costs. I may be wrong, but as far as I know this is the first chilled beam project in the KC area. ? Huge congratulations to Nick Burke with The University of Kansas Health System as the driving force in this design strategy. From the start, he championed the use of a chilled beam system, which was instrumental in making this design a reality. ? Great project, great project team!
