This dynamic group is comprised of leaders from business, education, nonprofit, and the arts sectors. We’re thrilled to welcome: ? Luis Sanz, Director of Music Department, Universidad Interamericana Metro ? Lydia Mercado, Empresas Hernandez ? Luis Enrique Romero, Artist ? Ruben Almador, Director of Music Department, Instituto de Cultura Puertorrique?a ? Christina Hernandez, Hernandez Catering, Inc. ? Willie Denton, President, Kroma, Inc. ? Sara Echevarria, Retired Educator ? Ignacio Lopez, Ed.D., Executive Director, PRAA ? Carlos Hernandez, Founder & Senior Advisor, PRAA Our historic first meeting took place at Universidad Interamericana, where PRAA now has a Puerto Rico office. We were honored to have Chancellor Marilina Wayland in attendance. Exciting Announcement! We are pleased to announce that Ignacio Lopez, Ed.D. has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance (PRAA). After nearly 30 years of dedicated leadership, Founder Carlos Hernandez, is stepping into a new role with PRAA. "We are thrilled that Ignacio is joining PRAA as its new executive director. For a number of years Ignacio was an active PRAA board member, the board has full confidence in his leadership to continue to elevate the prestige and growth of PRAA," said Dr. Sylvia Mojica Castillo, Board Chair of the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance.
