Through our YPIP (Young Professionals Internship Program), youth ages 17-22 had the opportunity to be placed in a summer internship with local business and organizations that provide real world experiences and abilities. Cinthia Vasquez, a Pescadero native, and first-generation college student, joined our Summer Program in 2018! She spent her Summer at VCA Half Moon Bay Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant! She is currently pursuing a program in nursing at Canada College. Thank you to the many donors, foundations and organizations that provide funding for these programs to be possible.

Through our YPIP (Young Professionals Internship Program), youth ages 17-22 have the opportunity to be placed in a summer internship with local business and organizations that provide real world work experiences and abilities. We'd like to highlight the internship opportunities that our South Coast youth has had over the Summer. Oscar Ortega, recent graduate from the Pescadero High School, had the opportunity this Summer to intern at the Half Moon Bay City Hall. He acquired some real-world experience while working with IT, and accounting teams. We want to thank the Half Moon Bay City Hall, for providing these valuable experiences to the youth. We would also like to thank the many donors, foundations and organizations that provide funding for these programs to be possible.

??? Yesterday marked the beginning of our YES program (Youth Enrichment Series). We started the day with a hike at Rancho Corral de Tierra, and amid ice-breaking activities, we delved into the coastal area's endangered species. ???? At Puente de la Costa Sur, we prioritize physical wellness as part of our program. Encouraging youth to explore the outdoors and connect with nature fosters a deeper appreciation for their surroundings. It's not just about learning; it's about forging friendships and building a community where everyone belongs. ????
