With headquarters in Albuquerque, PNM is the largest electricity provider in New Mexico.
关于我们
PNM serves about 550,000 electricity customers throughout New Mexico. The company, New Mexico's largest electricity provider, is based in Albuquerque. PNM was founded in 1917 as the Albuquerque Gas and Electric Co. and has undergone several transformations, including name changes, in its history. It sold its natural gas utility to New Mexico Gas Company in 2009. The PNM Resources Foundation, a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, has established generous contributions to non-profit organizations and educators in New Mexico. PNM is one of two subsidiaries of TXNM Energy, an investor-owned energy holding company also based in Albuquerque.

Exciting news! PNM is partnering with IBEW Local 611 to launch the Power Pros program, training high school students for high-demand electric utility careers. PNM is investing $1 million in high school students, paving their way to careers in the electric utility industry. Thank you to ACE Leadership High School for hosting this event and becoming one of several other schools to implement the program. Last week the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center officially opened their new Indian Pueblo Entrepreneur Complex (IPEC). PNM donated $100,000 to help fund construction of the new IPEC Commercial Kitchen. The complex will provide opportunities in New Mexico’s food and agriculture industries. The complex will now be a resource for Native and local entrepreneurs to chase their dreams in a professional kitchen.

KPC had the honor of hosting Jason Okumura, 377th MSG Commander, Kirtland Air Force Base and Amanda Aragon of NewMexicoKidsCAN to discuss the state of education in New Mexico and its impact on military connected children. We were grateful to have such knowledgeable and passionate speakers share their insights with us. Thank you to everyone who attended and showed their support for our children's education. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) for graciously hosting the event and for their continuous support of KPC. The Department of Defense now scores bases based on their quality of life initiatives, which includes education. It is crucial that we continue to prioritize and improve the education system in our state, not just for our military families, but for the success of our community as a whole. Let's continue to work together to provide the best opportunities for our children. #KPC #nmkidscan #KirtlandAFB #nmeducation #militaryfamilies #PNM #qualityoflife

"Proudest moments of my career. Access to electricity is a right, not a privilege," Garry Griffin, PNM Journeyman. Thank you, Garry, our PNM Crews, and Cathy Newby and team for sharing your time and energy to Light Up Navajo.
Director, Tribal Government Government and Customer Engagement at Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM)
PNM crews wrapped up volunteer work the Light Up Navajo (LUN) Project in mid June. LUN 5 is a mutual aid project in collaboration with Navajo Tribal Utility Authority, the American Public Power Association and 34 participating companies who send crews to aid in energizing homes on the Navajo Nation for the very first time. PNM crews from Deming and Santa Fe, over a 2 week period, energized 15 homes during their time in Northern Navajo. I am proud of the PNM Crews and the work our Operations and Tribal Team do to foster great relations with Navajo Nation and help a family enjoy their first cup of coffee without having to build a fire. Thankful to the first responders, our crews and crews coming in from across the region for their work on the South Fork and Salt wildfires. At the request of first responders, due to the existing fire, PNM deenergized its equipment, and at its peak, 4,104 PNM customers were without power. As of Monday 8:00am, PNM has restored power to 1,204 customers and are working to restore power to our remaining 2,900 customers. #RuidosoStrong
