Public Health Foundation for Hand Hygiene

As part of an effort to improve health and hygiene in West Africa, Public Health Foundation for Hand Hygiene was founded. Public Health Foundation for Hand Hygiene will establish a handwashing and hygiene awareness campaign to be facilitated in communities, schools, and hospitals. Previous efforts led by other organizations aimed to reduce the illnesses and deaths in Africa due to poor hygiene, have been futile. Simply informing a community to be practice specific hygiene practices have not proven to be effective. Public Health Foundation for Hand Hygiene will not simply inform, but they will educate, install hand sanitizer in schools and hospitals and build clean restrooms for communities to use. MISSION Public Health Foundation for Hand Hygiene’s mission is to educate individuals and communities in west Africa of benefits of washing their hands more often and to provide necessary resources to ease their needs. VISION Public Health Foundation for Hand Hygiene’s vision is to end death, diseases, and illnesses that were due to the lack of proper hygiene.
