As #BlackHistoryMonth wraps up, we’re honoring the legacy of Oseola McCarty and Madam C.J. Walker—two women who used what they had to create lasting change. Their stories remind us that generosity isn’t about how much you give, but the impact it makes. Oseola McCarty and Madam C.J. Walker represent the millions of Americans who do whatever they can, using whatever resources they have, to build a brighter future for overlooked communities. That’s the spirit—and the legacy—that each one of us can honor in our own lives. ? source: Pivotal Ventures

Today, we released our inaugural State of Young People report—a collaborative effort among leaders from over 50 Alliance Community member organizations and a nationally representative sample of more than 1,500 young people.?? ? The state of the world in which young people are coming of age today is marked by unique opportunities and significant challenges. This member-engaged, youth-centered annual research initiative seeks to explore the ways in which deeper knowledge of young people's experiences and proposed solutions to common challenges can meaningfully inform the work of the many organizations and institutions that serve them. ? ? Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we highlight more of our key findings from our 2024 research, spotlight Alliance member organizations who are deep in the day-to-day work of supporting young people through this unprecedented time, and share updates about some of the multi-org collaborations we’re launching as we put these new insights into action.?
