Public Allies Delaware

ABOUT US Public Allies is a national movement committed to advancing social justice and equity by engaging and activating the leadership capacities of people from all communities, especially those who are most often underrepresented. Public Allies Delaware is housed in the Center for Community Research & Service at the University of Delaware Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration. We believe that communities already have the leadership they need to create lasting social change. We have three primary ways through which we find and cultivate those leaders and connect them to the issues and causes that ignite their passion: -10-Month Public Allies AmeriCorps Apprenticeship Program -The Leadership Acceleration Program (LAP) -Public Allies Delaware Alumni Council MISSION / VISION / VALUES Our mission is to create a just and equitable society and the diverse leadership to sustain it. Our vision is a more perfect Union that includes all of us. We believe our mission and vision can be fulfilled when leaders from all walks of life, all backgrounds and beliefs, and all corners of the globe operate from a core set of values and values-based practices: Continuous Learning; Collaboration; Focus on Assets; Inclusion; Innovation; and Integrity.
