The Piedmont Triad Regional Council's Workforce & Economic Development Department is dedicated to delivering creative solutions to workforce and economic development partners in our region. As a dual department, we operate under two main entities: the Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board and the Piedmont Triad Regional Development Corporation. The Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board (PTRWDB) serves ten counties in the Piedmont Triad Region: Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin. PTRWDB Core Objectives: -Serve as the regional expert on workforce-related issues, providing regional research and data to our partners -Design and implement a strategic plan to meet the needs of the region's businesses for a skilled, reliable, and proficient workforce -Convene and engage in public/private partnerships that respond to emerging workforce issues and economic development opportunities The Piedmont Triad Regional Development Corporation (PTRDC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the twelve-county Piedmont Triad Region. PTRDC Goals & Focus: -Boost the Region’s Competitive Advantage and Leverage the Marketplace -Develop and Retain Talented and Innovative Human Capital -Create and Connect Vibrant, Healthy, and Resilient Communities -Establish and Modernize a Robust Regional Infrastructure The Workforce and Economic Development Department is proud to be able to offer the use of our Mobile Career Center and/or the Mini Mobile Unit to partners in our region. Both of these mobile units provide flexible space that can be configured as a computer lab, classroom, or a private area for interviews and assessments.
