As we look ahead to 2025, what does the future hold for the cocoa industry???? In 2024, we witnessed significant fluctuations in production and prices, primarily driven by adverse weather conditions and #supplychain disruptions in key regions like C?te d'Ivoire and Ghana. Add to this the complexities of global regulations like the EU Deforestation-Free Regulation (#EUDR), which imposes new requirements on cocoa businesses exporting to the EU—the world’s largest #cocoa consumer, with 58% of global imports. By comparison, North America and Latin America together account for about 25% of global cocoa bean imports, and Asia for 17% (CBI, 2024).
