Today, we honor all veterans, especially the incredible men and women who are part of the PT Ferro team. This Veterans Day, we're spotlighting two of our own: Tim Lyles and Andy Liker. Tim, a former Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, served from 1985-1989, including a year deployed with the Navy off the coast of Somalia. Tim's dedication to service and love for his country led him to a lifelong career behind the wheel, where he still serves our communities every single day. Andy, a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps, reflects on his time in the service as a commitment to protecting our freedoms. His motto, “Move like you have a purpose,” inspires his work with us daily—and he reminds us that his coworkers are a team, and they have each others back.. Thank you, Tim and Andy, for your service and dedication. And to all the veterans at PT Ferro and beyond, we honor you today and every day. Happy Veterans Day!

Last week, PT Ferro welcomed students from JJC's Construction Management class for an inside look at the industry, and they had a question on everyone’s mind: What types of jobs are out there, and where do you start? Meet Alex, one of our Estimator/Project Managers, who shared insights on why he loves his role: “One of the things I enjoy most about my role is the variety of projects we tackle each year. Chicagoland has one of the fastest-paced construction industries in the nation, and it’s rewarding to drive around with friends and family, seeing the roads and bridges we’ve built. We’re literally paving the way for the future. Each day brings new challenges that strengthen us as a team. Field changes happen often—sometimes what looks perfect on paper shifts in real life, and we have to adapt on the spot. It keeps us sharp and ready for anything.” Alex’s advice for those starting out? “Go for it! Walk into a construction company and apply in person. Making that face-to-face connection is powerful—don’t just apply online and wait. Progress in Tinley Park! PT Ferro is moving quick on the Harmony Square project in Village of Tinley Park.?This development will include new buildings housing long time village businesses as well as a new multi-use plaza set to open in early 2025 on 1.6 acres at the corner of Oak Park Avenue and North Street in the center of Downtown Tinley Park. Today we captured multiple facets of the project in action simultaneously as PT Ferro works on concrete removal & replacement and asphalt paving while our friends at Airy's, Inc. make a watermain connection.??See the progress and partnership with a birds eye view from the sky!
