Seshamani met with Weatherly and other healthcare leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges their systems and providers face. She also shared information about new regulations that broaden access to behavioral health services and other advancements the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services are exploring. #mentalhealth #CMS

A patient at one of our hospital-based Senior Life Solutions programs recently sent us a letter praising the psychiatrist and therapist who guided their mental health journey. Here’s an excerpt from that letter. “I have been to counseling over the years, but have never been with a seasoned psychiatrist who has had such insight into the roots of some of my behavioral issues. She made it extremely comfortable to share my history and problems and was able to make me aware of the many ties between my current thoughts and behaviors to some very specific situations during my childhood and beyond. After setting goals and working hard on her suggestions I was able to make changes that have helped me tremendously. Excited to see Lloyd C. Elam Mental Health Center recognized by the Metro Nashville and Davidson County Council for playing a critical role in the mental health of Middle Tennessee residents during Suicide Prevention Awareness Month (September). PMC provides inpatient behavioral health unit management services at the center.
