We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with an afternoon of sweets and treats inspired by the Emerald Isle! ?? ?? Our staff indulged in a variety of Irish-themed desserts, enjoyed lively music (complete with an attempt at a Riverdance) and participated in a prize giveaway. Our patients were in for a treat with a traditional Irish meal featuring corned beef, parsley potatoes and cabbage, topped off with mint chocolate cream pie. We hope you had a great St. Patrick's Day (and maybe spotted a few leprechauns)!

The Service Excellence Committee organized a fun carnival-style celebration to show our appreciation for our amazing staff. Everyone savored carnival classics like chili dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, and even cotton candy! ?? The atmospheric was lively as colleagues engaged in friendly competition of darts and cornhole. To top it off, we enjoyed a screening of the comedy series “Ted Lasso,” which perfectly highlighted the importance of teamwork. Laughter truly is the best medicine, and we had plenty of it today! Thank you to all our incredible employees for your hard work and dedication!

You are invited to our new Med-Psych unit open house! Doors will be open from 10am - 2pm where you will tour our facility, meet our staff, network with community members and enjoy light refreshments. This new unit offers 22 medical-psychiatry inpatient beds that will allow for the care of patients with overlapping psychiatric and medical conditions. Hope to see you on Wednesday, March 26th! Charles, our dedicated discharge coordinator, provided sweet treats for our patients as they headed out, along with uplifting notes of encouragement to inspire them on their healing journeys. Game on at PIW! ?? The hospital’s Service Excellence Committee geared up for the Big Game yesterday! The Committee along with our dietary team organized a tailgater’s game day feast for our patients and staff. From pizza and wings to hot dogs, chili, and queso, everyone enjoyed a delicious spread while cheering on their favorite team. Whichever team we were rooting for, it was a touchdown for everyone at this celebration! ??

Well, our Washington Commanders really put up a valiant fight in their game against the Eagles!?Our patients and staff were on the edge of their seats, cheering them on with hopeful anticipation until the very end. Even though it wasn’t a win this time, the Commanders definitely captured the hearts of the DMV metropolitan area this season. Whoever you're rooting for, we'll see you for the big game on February 9th! ??
