"Google decided that work-life balance and going home early and working from home was more important than winning." I respect this sentiment, but if the job market favors the employee, it's an uphill battle to retain talent with this attitude. Best to work with the market, not against it.

"Fix my kid" in child/adolescent counseling is akin to "Find me a perfect match" in recruiting. I've learned this the hard way. The recruiter's job is to find candidates, nurture relationships and guide the process. The responsibility then falls on the client to have an excellent program and present well to the candidate.
