?? DSA Update: Important Revisions to IR 30-1 on Elevators ?? The Division of the State Architect (DSA) has released an update to Interpretation of Regulations (IR) 30-1: Elevators: Building Materials and Systems. This update ensures continued compliance with the California Building Code and introduces several key changes: Fire sprinklers are no longer required in the hoist way pit. The Elevator/Stairway Configuration section has been removed. Criteria for emergency medical service elevators have been added.
