We are thrilled to congratulate Gary Lee Moore on receiving the prestigious UCLA Samueli 2024 Lifetime Contribution Award! A 1985 graduate of the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, Gary dedicated 37 years to public service in Los Angeles, significantly shaping the city's infrastructure from 2003 until his retirement as City Engineer in 2022. Beyond his technical achievements, Gary is admired for his unwavering commitment to inspire and uplift those around him. As Psomas’ Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, he continues to lead with integrity, guided by five core principles that reflect both his character and his legacy: 1. Have a clear purpose and continually evaluate it. 2. Be straightforward and honest. 3. Rise above criticism. 4. Learn from the past and strive to improve each day. 5. We’re excited to announce the successful completion of the Finger Rock Wash Culvert improvement project, winner of the APWA Arizona Chapter’s “Project of the Year” for transportation projects under $5M. Designed to manage stormwater and prevent flooding from the 2020 Bighorn wildfire, this crucial work protects Skyline Road from sediment buildup, erosion, and potential roadway failure.? ? We are proud to share the completion of the South Houghton Road and Fairgrounds Channel project, a key route for thousands of travelers between Tucson, Vail, Corona de Tucson, and Sahuarita, AZ. ? ? This project, winner of the APWA Arizona Chapter’s “Project of the Year” for transportation projects between $25-$75M, enhances safety, flood protection, and infrastructure, supporting growth in Southeast Tucson.? ?
