Sounds above 85 decibels (like heavy traffic or a lawnmower) can cause hearing loss over time. ?? Turn down the volume! If you can't hear someone talking next to you, it's too loud. ?? Take listening breaks. Give your ears time to rest after loud noise exposure. ?? Use noise-canceling headphones. They help you enjoy music at lower, safer volumes. ?? Recently, our team had the opportunity to visit Kent State University and speak with students from the NSSLHA Chapter, made up of undergraduate majors in the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program. It was a great discussion about the impact of SLPs in school settings and how PSI supports students and professionals in the field. A huge thank you to Kent State for having us!
