From breakfast stations to water stops, our team was on point every step of the way. They tackled registration, managed the information table, and ensured smooth shirt and bib pickups. And let’s not forget our dedicated run sweep and dog walk sweep teams, who made sure every participant and pup crossed that finish line! ?? Thank you to everyone who joined us! Our goal: give these adorable animals the cleanest, safest, most perfect spot to meet their potential furever families. Climate change poses growing challenges to our power infrastructure, and LIPA and PSEG Long Island are taking decisive action to ensure reliable electricity for our community. We've already reinforced over 1,400 miles of power lines to withstand severe weather events, including hurricanes, as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance system reliability. To better prepare for the future, our team recently completed a comprehensive study examining how various climate scenarios - from extreme heat to winter storms - could impact our electricity supply. This research is now guiding our plans to create a more resilient and efficient power grid for Long Island. We understand how crucial reliable electricity is to your daily life. That's why we're committed to staying ahead of these challenges, ensuring our infrastructure can meet the demands of our changing climate. For the fourth summer, PSEG Long Island partnered with Island Harvest Food Bank through our Power to Feed Long Island program to combat food insecurity right here on Long Island. You stepped up once again and have now provided nearly 130,000 meals for our neighbors right here on the Island. Why focus on summer? That’s typically when donations to local food banks decrease and kids who depend on school lunches are home. A big thank you to Stop & Shop, which hosted all of our 2024 collection drives.
