We are thrilled to announce that we have recently finished two sessions of our 2024 Summer Crime Initiative (SCI). This initiative allowed defendants to meet with their PSOs and access various services through community partnerships. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community partners, including the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB), Gaudenzia, Inc., MBI Health Services, LLC., Industrial Bank, DC Fire and EMS Department, Tzedek DC, Community Action Group, DC Department of Employment Services, and Foundation for a Drug-Free World International (DC), for providing a variety of services to our defendants, including education, employment, vocational training, family strengthening, behavioral health, healthcare, and housing. #PSA #SummerCrimeInitiative #CommunitySupport

This week, we had the privilege of hosting Judge Katsuyuki Matsuda from the Nagoya High Court in Japan as part of his comparative research project on pretrial detention practices. His visit gave us the opportunity to share our expertise as a leader in pretrial justice, highlighting our use of GPS ankle monitoring. This cross-border collaboration underscores the global importance of refining justice practices and fostering international dialogue.
