San Mateo County Deputy Sheriff's Association and Organization of Sheriff’s Sergeants (OSS) held a press conference to endorse Measure A, the initiative placed on the March ballot by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, enabling the Board to remove embattled Sheriff Christina Corpus. Corpus, accused of abusing her power, creating a toxic work environment, and retaliation against those who exposed her misconduct, has refused to step down, despite official calls for her resignation. Since 1970, our client Sunnyvale Community Services (SCS) has been the local safety net working to prevent homelessness and hunger. Last week, SCS hosted the kickoff of the Point-in-Time (PIT) count at their headquarters in Sunnyvale. The Point-in-Time Count is a national effort to count all people experiencing homelessness in every community through surveys and observational counts.
