Santa Clara County Housing Authority, City of San Jose, and Jamboree Housing Corporation celebrated the grand opening of Sunrise Pavilion, an affordable housing community dedicated to not only housing transitional age youth (TAY) but also providing individualized services to ensure each resident has the opportunity to meet their goals and thrive. As part of this commitment, The Workforce Center (The Center) is located onsite to nurture residents' career growth. The County of Santa Clara, the City of Mountain View, and nonprofit affordable housing developer Jamboree Housing Corporation opened the doors to The Heartwood Apartments (Heartwood), an affordable housing community accommodating 48 individuals experiencing homelessness. Formerly The Crestview hotel, Heartwood was the first hotel converted into an affordable housing community in Mountain View. Ellie, who lives with cerebral palsy, has been part of the Coastal Kids family since birth, receiving compassionate, in-home care that supports her growth and independence. With therapies, emotional support, and specialized equipment, Coastal Kids provides essential resources to children with complex medical needs across Monterey County. Republic Urban Properties' President Michael Van Every is partnering with Valley Health Foundation to bring Northern California’s largest burn center to life at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center—a cause that’s deeply personal for him as a burn survivor. After years of surgeries from a childhood accident, Michael now leads fundraising through the Michael Van Every Burn Fund to support this 20,000-square-foot facility, set to open in 2026, with expanded patient beds, a dedicated operating room, and resources for survivors.
