关于我们
The PRSA College of Fellows, founded in 1989, is the gold standard of the world’s largest association of PR professionals. The significance and distinction of the ‘Fellow PRSA’ designation after one’s name are akin to the Academy Award of public relations. The words ‘career pinnacle’ are often used to explain the gravitas of the College of Fellows. A rigorous peer review process has singled out these professionals to be among the ‘best of the best.’ Edward L. Bernays, acknowledged as the founder of the modern public relations profession, was among those named to the inaugural class of the College of Fellows, which established its high caliber of membership. Following those initial Fellows’ traditions of trailblazing and innovation are agency leaders, PhDs, authors, educators, independent consultants, and top corporate and nonprofit communications professionals. Admittance to the College follows an application and adjudication process, with candidates ultimately being annually elected by the PRSA National Board of Directors. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate superiority in the areas of leadership, advancement of the profession, mentoring, service and being a role model. All must have achieved their Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and be an active member of PRSA in good standing. Candidates’ career and service stories tell of how they have, and continue to, make an appreciable and beneficial impact on organizations, individuals, communities and causes. The PRSA Foundation will provide the PRSA College of Fellows Certificate in Principles of Public Relations Grant to qualifying students and young professionals to cover the cost of the Certificate in Principles of Public Relations study course and examination. This grant is funded by the PRSA College of Fellows. The College of Fellows believes in the importance of students and recent graduates entering the life-long ladder of professional development through PRSA membership and participation. That progression begins with PRSSA membership, followed by the Certificate in Principles of Public Relations, earning Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through the Universal Accreditation Board, and potentially culminating with induction into the College of Fellows. The grant program will be under the oversight of PRSA Foundation, with the College of Fellows managing fundraising and the selection committee process. Awards will be given twice annually. Applications for the fall/winter are due April 30. Applications for the spring/summer are due November 1. Learn more and apply: https://lnkd.in/eVFbXXKv

PRSA Fellows "Doing good things."
Enjoyed my return to the International Public Relations Research Conference Inc. Stefanie Moore and I presented our research on how public relations managers and educators can support innovation, discovery and skill development with the ethical application of artificial intelligence in public relations practice. It was fun to connect with Julie O'Neil, Ph.D., APR and Stacey Smith, APR, Fellow PRSA and so many other PR friends, as well as catching up with Kent State University College of Communication and Information (CCI) of Communication and Information graduate, Meghan Caprez. Shout out to Sean Williams and others who organized an engaging and thought-provoking conference. #IPRRC #publicrelationsresearch #kentstate

PRSA Fellows "Doing Good Things"
Next week on 3/20, I will speak at a PR Museum event in New York City “Changing Signals: Technology’s Impact on PR.” Other panelists include Larry Weber and Anne Green and it is moderated by Kim Sample of the PR Council. This looks to be a great event and I look forward to a frank discussion sharing the successes and the failures and how tech has changed our profession. I once worked to convince people internet fax was the future rather than email…. But we can and should learn from the past.?Sign up now. You can attend either in person or virtually. https://lnkd.in/ez4HvCUv #prsa #prethics #ethicsmatter
