关于我们
The Detroit Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) was established in 1947 and is now the premier organization for Southeast Michigan public relations professionals. As the sixth largest chapter of PRSA we serve as a gateway to public relations professionals by providing educational and career opportunities for nearly 400 local members – from students to seasoned professionals – who represent business and industry, agencies, solo practitioners, associations, non-profit organizations and government entities. Our long-standing commitment to education of professionals and students, is the reason why we offer invaluable programming that includes conferences, professional development sessions, a consistently strong accreditation (APR) preparation program and extensive New Professionals’ development, along with a number of other supportive activities.

PRSA-ECD RELEASES MENTAL HEALTH TOOLKIT AND WHITE PAPER ???? As we prepare for the Thanksgiving weekend, it's a good time to remember to reset and also acknowledge our stresses, often triggered further during the holidays. Studies show that burnout and stress deter PR pros' mental health in myriad ways. That's why this year, PRSA ECD's Advocacy Committee led by Kaylin R. Staten, APR, MPRCA and Jennifer Kramer, APR, focused on the mental health and well-being of our chapter leaders and members. In May, we conducted a survey and released results for Mental Health Awareness Month. Today, we unveil our white paper and toolkit on our website - and we're aware that the need for resources and conversations is even more present in our profession and society. Access the PRSA-ECD mental health white paper and toolkit here: https://lnkd.in/gNaqVjd8 PRSA ECD continues to be committed to these efforts. Stay tuned for more information in 2025, and contact us at [email protected] if you have any resources to add. Thank you for all you do to advocate for mental health. #PRSA #PRSAECD #mentalhealth #MentalHealthAwareness #mentalhealthmatters

Our hearts are heavy as we remember Wayne Mielke APR, who was a treasured member of the Chapter. Wayne served as Chapter President in 2001 and was a pillar in the PR community. His career in the PR and communications field was outstanding, with a notable highlight as Comerica's PR liaison for the Detroit Tigers and promoting Comerica Park during the 2005 All-Star Game and 2006 World Series. Our deepest condolences go out to Wayne's family and friends. https://lnkd.in/gWBTAYiw
