Last night, I had the pleasure of attending my first PRSA Chicago event, the ?????? ???? ?????????? Roundtable. Speakers Ken Li ??, Jacqualyn Laughlin and Mark Revermann did a fantastic job guiding us through what it means to be confident in the workplace, what the professional world looks like post pandemic, and how we can best present ourselves as PR pros early on in our careers. I’m so thankful for events such as this one, especially as a recent college graduate and emerging communications professional. The opportunity to gain this kind of perspective is always appreciated, and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside such a welcoming community of people!

This year was my second year attending the The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations' Summit and Milestones in Mentoring Gala! As expected, I learned a lot more about the use of AI in PR and how we can use it as a tool moving forward. I also had a BLAST exploring the Wndr Museum (see our optical illusion picture below!) It was a pleasure to meet the emerging leaders and talk with current PR professionals to get career advice moving forward in my senior year! Thank you to Bill Imada, Facundo Luque, Grant Deady, Emma Gresser, M.A. and Brian Price for your helpful insights! While in Chicago, my classmates Steven Flowers, Ava Steffens, Hailey Eifert and I attended PRSA Chicago's Night at the Field Museum event! We had a blast exploring the museum after hours, seeing Andrew Krause and Mckenna Fleming and meeting Phillip M. Keene - MBA, MA and Matt Batt. Thanks to all who engaged and made the Summit and Gala a success and a huge thanks to Southern Illinois University's School of Communication Studies for supporting us in attending!
