The Crown Award is given to practitioners who, in the judgement of other public relations professionals, have successfully researched, planned, implemented and evaluated communication campaigns with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. Scores for this year’s Crown Awards were exceptionally high, creating close competition across our 14 categories. Congratulations to the communications teams at the following organizations who achieved outstanding results, earning the coveted Crown Award at the 2024 #QueenCityPRAwards. ? In the practice of Public Relations, we know we cannot do our work alone. There are numerous advocates and experts outside our field who advance communications efforts, and use communications to improve our community! At this year's Queen City PR Awards, we were proud to honor Betsy Mack with the 2024 Pegasus Award. The PRSA Charlotte Pegasus Award is the highest honor given to individuals outside of the public relations profession. Started in 1991, this award goes to a civic, non-profit, education or business leader in our Charlotte region who demonstrates superior knowledge and use of public relations for the betterment of our community. Through her work as VP of Corporate Social Responsibility & Executive Director of the Charlotte Hornets Foundation, Betsy has achieved outstanding fundraising and awareness efforts to drive change in our community. We are also inspired by her significant service as a volunteer an community leader to improve understanding and support change around issues such as youth education, civic engagement, food insecurity, racial equity and more! Congratulations, Betsy!
