Director of Human Resources at Paul Reed Smith Guitars Limited Partnership
PRS is incredibly proud to work closely with Caroline County Public Schools, the Career and Technology Center and the wonderful leader/teacher Keith Hale on the groundbreaking AMP Program. AMP is a cutting-edge initiative designed to develop critical manufacturing skills in students, meeting the demands of local and regional manufacturers. The program allows students to work on real-world projects, learning valuable skills in areas such as product design, production technology, safety, and efficiency. The Caroline Career and Technology Center (CCTC) prepares students for various careers, and thanks to AMP, manufacturing is now part of the lineup. This program is not only the first of its kind in Maryland—it’s groundbreaking in its collaborative approach. Business and education rarely align this closely, making this partnership something truly special. As a founding partner, PRS Guitars has been involved from the start, contributing to the success of AMP in several ways. Our employees volunteer their expertise, teaching vital hands-on skills such as sanding, staining, and finishing. Personally, I've had the opportunity to visit the classroom numerous times, where I teach a Personal Finance class focused on employment and benefits, as well as a session on "What is PRS?" I most recently visited today, and every time, I leave more inspired. I love being a part of this initiative! Now in its 8th year, the 2024/2025 school year marks another exciting chapter for AMP. We are incredibly proud of this partnership and look forward to seeing the next generation of skilled professionals rise through the AMP program.
