Check out the new LGBTQ+ downtown Providence tour! This project explores LGBTQ+ histories and legacies in Providence through a series of timelines, virtual maps and a guided virtual walking tour. Digitizing the original in-person walking tour into a StoryMap was a partnership between PPL and the Community-Engaged Data and Evaluation Collaborative (CEDEC) at Brown University. Chloe Jazzy Lau (Bonner Community Fellow at Brown University) designed and built the StoryMap and Kate Wells (then-Curator of Rhode Island Collections at PPL) curated the materials, contributed to the design and organization of the StoryMap and coordinated with the developers and guides of the original walking tour! https://arcg.is/1uKbri1
