Just recently I was contemplating how to accelerate the speed of process of concept to exits in our business model and it brought up a very interesting question. What drives the best inventions? It is all tied to the problem the invention or IP solves. Typically, the bigger the problem the longer it will take to prove to the market you have actually solved the problem, but it is not always the case. But is all starts with an idea that there is a better more efficient way to do something. Requirements for a good idea to survive the gauntlet of market acceptance, it has some criteria it has to meet. 1) how big a market will this product solve 2) is the solution incremental or paradigm shifting 3) what does it take to prove that the idea is viable 4) is there competition chasing the same solution 5) is the idea based on seeing the problem firsthand or because someone in the market said "if only there was a way to do (fill in the blank)" Lastly and most important 6) what are you capable of doing that others have not done Having been at this for the last 30 years I can tell you that there are hurdles and lots of them. What enables the idea to survive is a fundamental belief that you can overcome all the obstacles. Let me know what you think needs to be solved and why and we will see what kind of world changing we might do together.

Updated development slate... ??
PROTOTYPE GARAGE Prototype Garage (PG) was founded by Olaf N Lee in 2012 as a vehicle to service industrial technologies he had developed and patented for others. In May of 2019, PG began developing its own ‘over the horizon’ green technologies beginning with the work of a breakthrough supercritical CO2 extraction system (SCO2). CORE PHILOSOPHY Olaf had seen how the large corporations went about industrial development and vowed not to fall into the same traps–too many features, overly complex engineering, custom parts, multi-year design timelines and budget overruns. Rather, he came up with a few cornerstone principles: ·????????Address large markets in waste, agriculture, transportation, energy ·????????Use widely available off the shelf parts for 80%+ of the build ·????????Develop truly breakthrough solutions, not me too products ·????????Stay nimble by commercializing via licensing or spinout entities ? CURRENT DEVELOPMENT SLATE SCO2, LLC Supercritical CO2 extraction equipment System for extracting fragrances, flavors and functional oils from waste products or virgin organic materials for food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetic products suppliers ·????????Started in May of 2019 ·????????Patents filed post prototype development in September of 2019 ·????????Patent US 11376522 issued August of 2022 ·????????First equipment/licensing sale to Champlain Valley Hops for craft brew market (delivery of equipment planned for spring of 2024) ·????????Developing new methods of extraction for extremely dense or waste materials ·????????Direct competitor for large volume hydrocarbon extraction method ECKOS, LLC Electrical waveform treatment of ag, and other organic waste products and food and beverage pasteurization system Platform technology for multiple pretreatments by low amperage wave form generation to effect organic solids and create a pathogen kill for industrial farms and food and beverage industries ·????????Started fall of 2021 ·????????Design-build ongoing ·????????First sale to customer completed February of 2023 (139k sale price) ·????????Testing planned with EERC (Energy and Environmental Research Center) Grand Forks ND Items commercialized and moved on to make room for the next project, Bio-Boost and CARBnX
