Our CEO, Benjamin, recently visited Texas A&M to talk about his journey building Proton and what he’s learned from working closely with distributors.     Last week, our company came together for our annual onsite—a time to step back, connect, and focus on our mission: helping our customers grow. This year, we had the chance to hear directly from Patrick Murray III at ORS Nasco and Maxwell Stone at USESI, who shared how Proton.ai is driving results for their teams. As Patrick put it: “Proton is weaponizing our data for us.” That’s what it’s all about. Distributors don’t need more software. They need to know: - Who to call - What to sell - How to move inventory faster And that’s exactly what we heard at our onsite. Patrick, Max, and our customer success team shared story after story of distributors using Proton to drive real results. We talked about one distributor who cleared millions in dead inventory in just a couple months using a custom Proton workflow. We heard from a client who reported that their top-performing reps are all Proton power users. We even learned about a warehouse manager—not on the sales team— that landed new business thanks to Proton’s AI-powered product recommendations. These stories are a testament to the hard work of everyone at Proton. It’s easy to get lost in roadmaps and feature lists. But at the end of the day, this is what matters: real impact, real wins, real people. 2024 was a huge year, and 2025 is shaping up to be even better.     So, I just wrapped up my 5th National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors Exec Summit. The biggest takeaway this time: the battle distributors are fighting right now is moving sales from craft to science. Sales reps still see it as a craft. Leadership is starting to realize it should be a science. That’s why the hardest projects in distribution (pricing, sales transformation, etc.) all boil down to the same challenge: distributors hesitate to push for change because they worry about how reps will react. But the best reps want better tools, they want to win more business, and they want to make more money. The distributors embracing the science of selling are the ones growing the fastest. What do you think: how far along is your team in this shift from craft → science? P.S. Every year, more of the distributors in the room are Proton.ai customers, which is exciting to see. The first year I attended, we had 1. This time I counted 16??? (and I was lucky enough to go on a run with one of them!)

    Last week, a VP of Sales from a major distributor emailed our team: “I want to share a win our salesperson had with Proton during an annual business review yesterday.” During a business review with a client, their sales rep used what we call a?Wallet Share Sales Play.
