This platform deserves a lot more attention than it gets, and not just for its CUAS capability. Anyone who has operated an RWS in combat will quickly identify this as game changing. Today, on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we honor heroes like Colonel James “Nick” Rowe, a U.S. Army officer and one of only 34 American prisoners of war to escape captivity during the Vietnam War. Captured by the Viet Cong in 1963, Rowe endured 62 months in harsh conditions, confined in a small "tiger cage" in the infamous U Minh Forest. Despite three failed escape attempts and facing a death sentence, Rowe managed a daring escape when American helicopters appeared during his march to execution. After his rescue, Rowe dedicated his life to developing the U.S. military's Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) training program, shaping the future of high-risk personnel survival. Today, we remember Rowe’s resilience and sacrifice, along with all Prisoners of War and those who are still Missing In Action. Visit the U.S. Army Airborne and Special Operations Museum to see a powerful recreation of the “tiger cage” that once confined him, and reflect on the courage of those who endured the unimaginable. #POWMIA #HonorAndRemember #USArmy #specialforces
