Over the past few months, we’ve reached out multiple times and even scheduled meetings to explore potential partnerships. For instance, one meeting, which was scheduled a month in advance with a confirmed calendar invite, fell through at the last minute. While we followed up to confirm the day prior, we were informed via text that the person was “out of town” with no prior notice or explanation. These experiences have prompted me to reflect on a few key questions: ? How do we effectively communicate the value of professional security versus volunteer services? ? How can we showcase our commitment to collaboration, even when challenges arise? ? How do we ensure our dedication and efforts are clear to those we aim to serve? Las Vegas: A Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel on New Year’s Day, injuring seven and killing the driver. With gas canisters and fireworks packed inside, authorities believe the attack was deliberate and are investigating it as a potential act of terrorism. New York: Later that evening, a mass shooting outside the Amazura nightclub in Queens left 11 people injured. Fortunately, all are expected to recover, but the incident further underscores the unpredictable nature of these threats. On Saturday evening we were shocked and heartbroken to learn of the senseless murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a 28-year-old rabbi killed in the UAE simply for being Jewish. While initial reports indicate that those responsible may not be from the UAE, this tragedy underscores a harsh reality: such acts of hate and violence can happen anywhere. From New York to New Jersey, Europe to the Middle East, the need for vigilance has never been more critical. Security isn’t just about the guard you see at the front door.
