September is #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth. More than 3 million men in the U.S. are living with this disease, and 299,000 will be diagnosed this year. These numbers are unacceptable—so this month is dedicated to educating men and families about prostate cancer and how it impacts lives. Please share this post with someone you love—because raising awareness is one of the most powerful ways to get ahead of this disease. Learn more at zerocancer.org/pcam.

Huge thanks to Pfizer for their generous support of our Roundtable!
We were proud to join the American Cancer Society (ACS), Prostate Health Education Network, ZERO Prostate Cancer and other leaders across the Oncology community for the launch of the National Prostate Cancer Roundtable https://lnkd.in/eEVbw9Jv, a coalition of organizations dedicated to a shared vision of improving prostate cancer outcomes and survivorship for all through increasing awareness and equitable access to prevention, screening and treatment. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men in the United States, with about 1 in 8 men facing a diagnosis in their lifetime. Black men are not only more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer, but are also twice as likely to die from the disease than other racial or ethnic groups. At Pfizer, we believe in the power of collaboration and partnership to drive meaningful change. Through our sponsorship of the National Prostate Cancer Roundtable as well as other collaborative efforts with the community, such as our Change the Odds? https://lnkd.in/eM9ApeDa initiative with ACS and support for PHEN's Prostate Cancer Disparity Rally https://lnkd.in/emPTvCr2, we are dedicated to addressing these disparities and improving cancer outcomes for all. #ProstateCancerAwarenessMonth #HealthEquity #CancerCare #ChangeTheOdds #ProstateCancer

The American Cancer Society is proud to launch the ACS National Prostate Cancer Roundtable. Some barriers are too complex for any one organization to tackle alone. #ACSNPCRT is the newest of ACS’s seven mission-critical roundtables dedicated to catalyzing collective action across the cancer continuum. ACS NPCRT was established to address the alarming rise in prostate cancer diagnoses in the US, particularly among Black men, who face disproportionate rates of incidence and mortality. Rooted in the power of partnership, the ACS NPCRT unites a coalition of diverse organizations under a shared mission: improving prostate cancer outcomes across the nation. We’re grateful to convene our leadership in Washington, DC this week to strategize, collaborate, and celebrate the launch of this shared effort. Visit our website to learn more: www.npcrt.org
