Supporting entrepreneurs in Detroit build their communities from within via training, business services, and loans
关于我们
ProsperUs Detroit is a community economic development initiative that supports entrepreneurs and small business development in neighborhoods throughout Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park. We are on a mission to advance economic equity in under-resourced communities by supporting entrepreneurs with opportunities and capital needed to build businesses, generational wealth, and vibrant neighborhoods. We do this by delivering radically supportive and culturally competent entrepreneurship training, financial coaching, technical assistance, and microlending. ProsperUs approaches the work with the belief that residents, small businesses and community organizations in all neighborhoods have the ability to engage and revitalize their own communities. For the last ten years, ProsperUs has served as a catalyst for small business development in neighborhoods. We've partnered with community members, neighborhood organizations, and resource providers to respond to the needs of emerging and experienced entrepreneurs in our community to serve over 1500 entrepreneurs. We're energized and inspired by neighborhood business leaders and work to ensure they have the resources needed to succeed.

As we work to create pathways with purpose for entrepreneurs in our communities, it is essential to acknowledge that our work is built on ancestral lands. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to equity, justice, and the importance of preserving cultural heritage. We encourage our community to support Indigenous-owned businesses, learn about the history of the land we occupy, and reflect on the continued resilience and strength of Indigenous peoples. Together, we can uplift voices that have been historically marginalized and work toward a future where every community thrives. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #ProsperUsDetroit

Operations @ ProsperUs Detroit | DEAL 8 Fellow | Change Collective Fellow | Black Excellence Society Member
? September Recap ? September was busy! And I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the experiences and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. Here are a few highlights: ?? Graduated from the Change Collective Fellowship in Jackson, Mississippi, alongside 60 amazing changemakers! Feeling so inspired by this community of leaders committed to driving change in our local communities. ?? Hosted our Annual Family Block Party with the ProsperUs Detroit team, where we welcomed over 300 of our neighbors to celebrate the power of entrepreneurship in our community. ?? Facilitated a Collaboration 101 Workshop at the Community Development Advocates of Detroit PATHWAYS: to Change, to Connections, to Community conference. Sharing strategies on how we can work together more effectively to build stronger communities was a great reminder of the power of partnership. I’m excited to see what the rest of the year has in store!

Lending Director | Capital Deployment Facilitator | CDFI + Entrepreneur Support | Michigan Chronicle 40 Under 40 Honoree
I’m deeply honored to be recognized as one of Michigan Chronicle’s 40 Under 40! This milestone is a reflection of the amazing community I’m surrounded by—mentors, colleagues, changemakers, ecosystem partners, and the incredible entrepreneurs of Detroit. To everyone who has invested in me, supported my growth, and shared in this mission to uplift small businesses, thank you. In just a few years, I’ve made great strides, but there’s still so much more to accomplish. It is truly a privilege to do work that is able to make such a direct impact in the lives of others. I am thankful, grateful, appreciative, and even more motivated than ever to keep building and expanding access to capital with technical assistance for our entrepreneurs! Special shout out to Detroit Development Fund for your investment in my success and to the Momentus Capital family for giving me an opportunity to start what will be a long lasting career in mission-driven lending! #40Under40 #DetroitBusiness #Entrepreneurship #CommunityFirst
