Hey Denver! The Community College of Denver (CCD) has recently launched a new tuition-free high school diploma program for adults! This program is for those who did not complete high school and are looking for new academic and career opportunities. CCD's program offers flexibility, allowing students to complete their high school diploma in as little as five weeks or extend their studies up to a year. There is a one-time $50 fee. Did you know the Colorado Department of Higher Education announced the launch of Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI) Achieve that delivers comprehensive support encompassing both scholarships and critical student success services? Our partnerships are in action! Prosperity Denver Fund is excited to share that we hosted our first in-person event in January. Thank you to our partners who participated in a focus group to provide feedback on our updated Theory of Change (TOC). We’ve been working with our evaluation partners at @Prosono to update our TOC to reflect the ways in which our programming expanded in 2024. Prosperity Denver Fund exists to help support the broad network of nonprofits that offer scholarships to Denver’s students. Together, we’re making college an affordable reality for Denver high school students and our TOC is the roadmap that will help us achieve it! The Colorado Green Business Network (CGBN) is hoping to be the solution.The program pairs up a sustainability expert with businesses to identify energy-saving and money-saving changes. Meet our New Finance and Operations Manager: Ruth Anne! After a competitive search process, we are thrilled to announce that Ruth Anne Cutright has joined Prosperity Denver Fund as our Finance and Operations Manager. She brings with her 20 years of experience managing nonprofits with a focus on finance, human resources, and internal operations. Previously, Ruth Anne was Director of Finance and Operations with the Wings Foundation. and served as executive director at Chesterfield CASA, Inc. in Virginia. Her combination of experience and enthusiasm will help Prosperity Denver Fund accomplish our goals with increasing efficiency and effectiveness. Welcome!
