We’re taking a brief moment to celebrate the incredible work of our client Kerry Washington. Her work over the past year demonstrates her continued leadership across entertainment, philanthropy, and our democracy. She was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame , recognizing her lasting contributions to television and film. She also starred in and produced The Six Triple Eight — bringing an overlooked historical story to a global audience. Kerry continues to lead as a producer and advocate through Simpson Street and Simpson Street Impact. Her contributions have earned her the Entrepreneur in Entertainment Award from Women in Film and the Equity in Entertainment Award from Hollywood Reporter for advancing representation and driving industry change. She received seven NAACP Image Awards nominations, winning Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture. Her commitment to civic engagement remains central to her work. Through voter participation initiatives and grassroots mobilization efforts, she has used her platform to work towards building a more equitable, multi-racial democracy. Sharing a powerful moment with our incredible client Kerry Washington as she sits down with Aubrey, one of the remarkable young women featured in Daughters Documentary. Through Simpson Street Impact, Kerry and her team continue to embrace humanity's fullest spectrum, bringing to life stories that forge deep emotional connections and inspire real change. Daughters won the two awards at Sundance in 2024 — the Festival Favorite Award and the Audience Award: U.S. Documentary. It was also a nominee for the Grand Jury Prize. The film sheds light on the power of maintaining family bonds despite the challenging circumstances children face with incarcerated parents.
