Happy Give to the Max Day! Join us in supporting emerging organizations and leaders in our communities! Donations to these groups can have a significant impact. Early investments help organizations secure additional funding and expand their work. We also suggest engaging with these groups beyond donations by following them on social media, attending their events, and supporting them in various ways. Angie Craig’s office and urge her to flip her vote to NO when H.R.9495 again goes to the House floor later this week. A reminder about our upcoming conversations, hosted jointly with friends from Propel Nonprofits and Springboard for the Arts. We'll be meeting every other Monday through the end of the year on the urgent need for capital funding and sustained investment for arts organizations, venues, and the buildings in which they operate. This coming Monday we will be chatting with Allison (Allie) Wagstrom for an "AMA." What questions do you have about loans, bridge loans, and how that works? What helps orgs get through? When do you know if this type of assistance is right for you? Once you register, the link will be the same for all meetings.? https://lnkd.in/gM2bXX2t

Propel believes nonprofits and their leaders, boards, and staff are champions of good, dedicated to creating healthier, connected, and more equitable communities. We are here, always, to champion you and your work. We wanted to share events and resources that might be helpful to nonprofit leaders including election de-briefs, events, tool kits, and ways to connect. Thanks to Nonoko Sato at Minnesota Council of Nonprofits for sharing many of these events. Subscribe to MCN’s policy advocate newsletter for more ways to be involved in advocacy work. Additionally, a few organizations and associations like Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment (RISE) and Minnesota Housing Partnership hosted events last night; stay tuned to your membership organizations offerings and resources so you can share in the language and community of your service area. >Black Collective Foundation MN In Person – We Remain Fearless (Nov 7th 1-2:30pm in Minneapolis) https://lnkd.in/gP3rFYP3 ? > National Council of Nonprofits: Webinar – Impact of the Elections on Charitable Nonprofits (Nov 12th 3pm ) https://lnkd.in/eKAzqqvk ? >NACD Minnesota Chapter: In Person The Post-Election Boardroom Agenda (Nov 13th 8am – 9:30am in Minneapolis) https://lnkd.in/e4B28GWJ ? >Race Forward: Racial Justice after the 2024 Elections Nov 13th 2-3:30pm https://lnkd.in/gSKcjKbU >FutureGood (for-profit consulting firm): Webinar - "Future-Proofing Your Organization for the Volatility of a Trump Presidency" (Nov 18th 1pm) https://lnkd.in/gBTkqRDY >Solidarity Is (Program of Building Movement Project): Webinar – Solidarity Beyond the Elections Nov 14th 11am CST https://lnkd.in/gHnMNYbQ > MinnPost Social: Post-Election Debrief (Nov 18, 5p.m.) https://lnkd.in/gTQep-iH > We Can All Advocate (and Many of Us Can Support Lobbying) By Eddie Torres, President & CEO of Grantmakers in the Arts https://lnkd.in/g28ehDkt ? > Building Movement Project “The 2024 Elections and Beyond: Fortifying Ourselves, Our Organizations, and Our Ecosystems” Toolkit https://lnkd.in/g_ADMKsy ? >Democracy Forward (501(c)4): The People’s Guide to Project 2025 https://lnkd.in/gHtAZVCS ?> Nonprofit Finance Fund: Building Resilience in Uncertain Times: Tools, Guides, Webinars for Nonprofit Leaders https://lnkd.in/gV94866u

I had a fantastic week in Los Angeles celebrating OFN 40th! Made by history. Made for this moment. I always appreciate, “going going back to back to Cali Cali”. It was great being able to connect with old friends and colleagues as well as making new connections…and getting to share these moments with my fellow Propellers and other Minnesota friends. It was a pleasure to introduce Elissa Sangalli from Northern Initiatives as the innagural recepient of the Rising Star Award and Ali Tarzi from JP Morgan Chase as our Platinum Sponsor.
