Meet Leslie Tellez, Promontory's New Pastry Chef. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Leslie Tellez has built an impressive and diverse career in the culinary world. A talented Pastry Chef, she has worked in esteemed restaurants, including Charlie Trotter’s in both Chicago and Mexico, where she progressed from Sous Chef to Pastry Chef. She also helped launch Charlie Trotter’s restaurant at the One & Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. Leslie’s journey has taken her beyond traditional restaurants—she has worked as a private chef aboard a yacht, contributed to cookbooks, and assisted behind the scenes on cooking shows. She also served as the Pastry Chef at Wolfgang Puck’s Café and spent six years alongside her husband, Chef Guillermo, helping to shape the pastry program at Flora Farms. Promontory Members now have to opportunity to try her delicious freshly baked bread which can be found at The Shed Mercantile Thursdays through Saturdays.

Today, we want to shine a spotlight on our Head Chef at The Shed, Travoy Cox. He has been a valued member of the Promontory team for over two years, dedicating his time to refining classic dishes while also experimenting with new entrees to infuse more variety into the menu. Recently, he revamped the pizza dough recipe, resulting in a crust that is lighter and slightly crispier. Among Chef Travoy's latest offerings are an exciting range of burgers, with the gouda melt burger quickly becoming a fan favorite at The Shed.

Promontory Club's Hills Clubhouse was just named the 2024 Clubhouse of the Year by Golf Inc. “A Modern Mountain architectural interpretation of the golf clubhouse experience. A well-sited, economical use of space and an efficient floor plan.” Said Mark Mlazer (one of the Golf Inc. judges) when talking about what stood out about the Hills Clubhouse. The Hills Clubhouse is the newest of Promontory's four clubhouses. Inside members have access to world-class dining at Sage, The Hills Pro Shop to check in for tee times and grab last-minute golf necessities, a modern clubhouse bar with light bites, and 4 top of the line golf simulators.
