Want to write LinkedIn posts that people read and engage with this year? Here's the structure top creators swear by: 1?? Hook Them in 3 Seconds - the first 2 or 3 lines that make them want to click ‘See more’ Start with a bold statement, a relatable question, or an intriguing fact. Example: "Most LinkedIn posts fail in the first line—here’s why yours doesn’t have to." 2?? Deliver Value, Not Fluff Use short paragraphs and spacing to make your post scannable. Share insights, actionable tips, or a personal story that resonates with your audience. Keep it conversational. 3?? Create an Emotional Connection People remember how you made them feel. Be authentic, vulnerable, or inspiring. Show them you get it. 4?? End with a Call to Action (CTA) Close with a question or invitation to share thoughts. Example: "What’s your go-to strategy for writing engaging posts? Let me know below!" ?? Pro Tip: Use emojis sparingly, but strategically, to highlight key points. Now it’s your turn—what’s your biggest challenge with LinkedIn content? Drop it in the comments! ??

Here’s our Founder Adam Houlahan's rant for this week! “I find it hard to believe anyone is still seriously advocating this method of building a following online. ?A few days ago I came across an article offering advice about what business owners and leaders should do to increase the size of their audience and engagement on LinkedIn. The opening paragraph was a bit generic, but that’s not what bugged me. That was in the second paragraph. The writer was pushing the idea of buying Likes for your LinkedIn profile, company page and posts as a way of quickly building a following. Nope. That may get you an initial boost of visibility but it’s not the way to build an authentic and authoritative presence as a leader in your space. It’s quite easy to spot too, posts that are only a few hours old but have hundreds or more likes and very few comments. I don’t know about you, but for my content of course, I want Likes, Comments and Re-posts - but I want them from relevant followers, not just online randoms for the sake of numbers.†Do you agree with Adam or do you think purchasing Likes for your LinkedIn content is OK?

What do you do if you run a business with services delivered almost exclusively online and your city is right in the path of a tropical cyclone? That’s where we here at Prominence Global found ourselves only last week when Tropical Cyclone Alfred hit. Yet we were able to keep on supporting our clients with zero interruption despite flooding, power outages and no internet for days. Head over to this video to hear about the strategy we implemented several years ago that ensured we can keep operating in the face of natural disasters and other challenges.

LinkedIn isn’t just a platform for business growth—it’s a powerful space for non-profits, social enterprises, and purpose-driven leaders to expand their impact. ? Visibility for Your Mission – Your cause deserves attention. LinkedIn allows you to reach professionals, decision-makers, and potential donors who align with your vision. ? Stronger Partnerships – Collaboration is key. Whether it's connecting with corporate sponsors, engaging volunteers, or finding strategic partners, LinkedIn bridges the gap between sectors. ? Thought Leadership & Advocacy – Share your insights, success stories, and industry challenges to educate, inspire, and mobilize action within your community. ? Attracting Talent & Supporters – People want to work with and support organisations that make a difference. Showcasing your impact can help attract the right team members, board members, and champions for your cause. LinkedIn is more than just a networking tool—it’s a megaphone for social good. If you’re leading a non-profit, this is your platform to grow, influence, and create lasting impact. Want to see the perfect real-life example? Check out Paul Dunn, founder of B1G1. P.S. Don’t just use LinkedIn to ask for donations - build relationships first.

Why Original Content is the Key to Your LinkedIn Success.? Reposting and sharing others' content is OK but it won't establish your authority—it amplifies their expertise, not yours. If you want to stand out on LinkedIn, you need to create content that showcases your knowledge, experience, and impact, from your ideal client’s perspective. ?? Tell stories that prove your value – Share real client wins, industry insights, and lessons learned from experience. Let your audience see exactly how you solve problems and drive results. ?? Break down your methods – Give people a glimpse into your strategies and frameworks. Don’t just tell them you're great—show them why you’re the expert they need. ?? Make every post count – Forget reposts and random article shares. Instead, publish original, engaging content that builds trust and positions you as a thought leader. Your LinkedIn presence should be a living portfolio of your expertise. The more consistently you create, the more your audience will see you as the go-to person in your industry. Own your expertise and start posting. Ready to step up?

Adam’s recent LinkedIn Poll confirmed a persistent challenge. Check out the results below. Here’s the question Adam posed, along with the votes: Which aspect of your LinkedIn presence underperformed last year and needs work for better results? ?? Updating my profile - 18% ?? Content quality - 14% ?? Content consistency - 57% ?? My company page - 11% That confirms once again that the majority of business owners using LinkedIn to build an authoritative presence struggle with maintaining consistency in posting relevant content. There are three ways to solve that problem, but they aren’t necessarily all good: ? Use generative AI to create all your content. That will solve the volume problem but will still need plenty of additional editing to maintain quality and relevance ? Hire someone to create content for you in-house. That comes with a heap of add-on costs and HR compliance issues that you may not want or be able to manage. ? Outsource to expert copywriters with a deep understanding of the LinkedIn algorithm. ?? Here’s the real question: If content consistency is the biggest challenge, what’s stopping most business owners from solving it? Is it time, budget, strategy—or something else entirely??
