Digitally monitoring circulatory dysfunction at the bedside is showing great promise as a noninvasive tool for improving patient outcomes in sepsis, hemorrhage and fluid management/dehydration. Indeed, clinical momentum is rapidly building among caregivers for this new "vital sign." Once cleared by the FDA, multiple hospitals are already expressing interest in purchasing our device. Thus, capitalization of our company is a validation (outside of our clinical, peer reviewed publications) that this momentum is increasing, and we're on the right path.

Brilliant article in Annals of Emergency Medicine by Nathan Georgette, MD and Matthew Eisenberg, MD, MPH (et al), at Boston Children's and Harvard Medical School (respectively) involving the creation of a novel sepsis score in pediatrics. Of note, and once again, clinical investigators and thought leaders find that slowed Capillary Refill Time (CRT) is an undeniably critical component of patient assessment (by revealing potentially reduced peripheral blood flow secondary to initial onset of septic shock); that is... despite currently CRT remaining an inconsistent vital sign because of how subjectively it is measured by practitioners. This is why the innovative Digital CRT Device developed by ProMedix Inc - Precision Patient Monitoring (which noninvasively improves accuracy of CRT by shifting it from a subjective observation, to an objective measure), is so critical for improving sepsis recognition and monitoring in pediatrics. During sepsis, speed is everything. Physicians seek sepsis detection that is both rapid AND accurate. Ensuring our innovative peripheral blood flow monitor is able to accurately detect sepsis, regardless of skin tone or race has been an engineering priority since our inception.
