PROJECT OUR TOWN's mission is to inspire action by empowering the community through meaningful, intentional, and impactful volunteer opportunities. We mobilize volunteers in teams, sending them out into the greater Denver community to participate in a wide range of community service projects. We have monthly activities, and we also have a weekend event where thousands will participate in over 80 projects. Our projects have a lasting impact, not only on many worthy organizations, causes, and individuals, but also the volunteers themselves.

This season, we made new apartments a little cozier?? At #WeekendofAction dozens of volunteers made blankets, wreaths, and welcome-home kits for survivors for Gateway Domestic Violence Services. Your time, effort, and compassion helped bring warmth and care to families rebuilding their lives. Special thanks to Gateway for the incredible work they do to support survivors every day. ??

? Our volunteers worked tirelessly during?#WeekendofAction?to make a HUGE impact! Together, we packaged thousands of feminine hygiene items to fight period poverty. Huge shoutout to?Justice Necessary?for leading the fight against period poverty in Colorado—they’ve already donated over 4.4 MILLION period products. How cool is that!? ??
We can’t believe what we accomplished! ?? Last weekend, we made 6,340 Pounds of Bean Soup Mix for various food pantries around the Metro Area. That’s 50,720 servings!! ?? #beansoup?#WeekendofAction?#community?#hungerrelief
Despite the snowstorm, we are so grateful that hundreds of you joined us for an unforgettable #WeekendofAction 2024. From writing Thanksgiving Cards for Nourish Meals on Wheels to packaging Holiday Gift Boxes for MotherWise, the spirit of volunteerism was alive and thriving! ??
Unbelievable event this weekend with PROJECT OUR TOWN. Even the snowstorm couldn't stop over 1,000 kids and adults from #Denver giving their time helping so many charities throughout our city. It was awesome to see this in action and be part of this impact. Proud to say I can now respectfully fold (miniature) American flags as we helped support so many organizations including Operation Gratitude.
