  • This past weekend, Project Inspire was honored to be invited by U.S. Soccer Federation to attend the Annual General Meeting, where Joao Gomiero represented us in connecting with incredible members of the U.S. Soccer Federation community, including the Disabled Service Organizations (DSO) and other amazing programs. The event, which was held in Atlanta, provided an amazing space for learning, collaboration, and strengthening relationships within the soccer world. From insightful discussions to hands-on experiences—like getting the chance to play amputee soccer at Mercedes-Benz Stadium—we were reminded of the power of sport to unite people and showcase the incredible abilities of athletes of all backgrounds. We are truly grateful for this opportunity and look forward to more moments like these, where we can learn, collaborate, and continue building a more inclusive soccer community.

  • We’ve partnered with the University of Pennsylvania’s Master of Behavioral and Decision Sciences Program! ???? We’re combining sports with cutting-edge behavioral science to enhance the soccer landscape for athletes with intellectual disabilities. MBDS students have been developing research-backed interventions for our coaches, staff, and athletes focusing on the societal bias and creating a long lasting social impact! Help us in welcoming our new partner to the team! ?????? University of Pennsylvania

Will’s story and passion for soccer highlight the incredible potential that athletes with intellectual disabilities have when given the opportunity to play. Project Inspire is here to help them unlock that potential by creating a league where they can showcase their talent and love for the game. Everyone deserves a place on the field!!

There are over 700,000 athletes in the US currently lacking a nationwide soccer league to play in. But Project Inspire is set to change that. Will Daniel - spokesperson, athlete, and devoted Richmond Kickers fan - is just one of many individuals with intellectual disabilities whose potential is limited to local, recreational leagues. Project Inspire aims to help people like Will achieve their dream of playing the sport they love competitively, persistently, and on a national scale. Targeting it’s launch in 2025, Project Inspire will promote teams in an array of cities across the country, competing on a coast-basis and working with professionals specializing in adaptive sports. We hope this initiative generates an impact that goes beyond the soccer field. To get involved, visit ProjectInspireUSA.org ???? #redefinewhatspossible

We’re honored to announce Walter Montillo as project inspire’s first official commitment ambassador! ???? Montillo’s impressive career is marked by his commitment both on and off the soccer field which perfectly embodies the spirit of Project Inspire. He’s a strong advocate for inclusion, especially in public schools for neurodivergent children- making him an obvious choice to be our commitment ambassador. Montillo not only is a strong advocate, but also is a renowned player himself from representing the Argentine national team alongside Messi, to wearing the iconic #10 jersey for Santos. We’re so proud to have him representing our values as his passion aligns strongly with our mission. We couldn’t ask for a better leader in this journey! ???? #ProjectInspire #RedefineWhatPossible?
