For people experiencing homelessness, clean clothing is more than a basic need—it’s a lifeline. It offers protection from the elements, boosts self-esteem, and helps break down barriers to employment, housing, and social services. Yet, access to clean clothing remains a major challenge. That’s where our Mobile Clothing Closet comes in. ???? We deliver hope and essentials—clothing, shoes, accessories, and hygiene kits—directly to service sites, ensuring people in need have access to these vital resources. With each visit, we help restore dignity and empower lives, one outfit at a time. ?? Interested in having our Mobile Closet at your service site? ?? DM us or email us at: [email protected] Together, let’s make clean clothing accessible to all. ??

Project Ropa is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to restoring dignity and empowering lives by providing clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need. We address a critical gap in services for people experiencing homelessness—access to clean, well-fitting clothing that meets their unique needs which can open doors to employment, housing, and self-sufficiency. We believe that clothing is a basic human necessity, yet it’s not considered essential by the government—despite being required in public. We’re advocating for change while filling this urgent gap. As a certified social enterprise with a certified green warehouse, we focus on sustainable solutions by redirecting surplus clothing and hygiene supplies from manufacturers, retailers, and individuals—keeping them out of landfills and into the hands of those who need them most. We also sell upcycled, vintage and dead stock clothing at local markets. The proceeds from these sales directly help fund our mobile services, bringing clothing, shoes, and hygiene essentials to people in need. ?? We operate L.A.'s only mobile clothing closet, bringing clothing, shoes, and hygiene kits directly to those in need.??? Our community clothing & hygiene bank supplies essentials in bulk to local organizations.??? Our grab-and-go service at Genevieve’s Garden (Fridays 12-2 PM, Central Hollywood) provides essentials alongside lunch. Join us in making a difference! Learn more at www.projectropa.org ?
