Linda, Jaclyn Kawka's mother, passed unexpectedly in 2022 from pancreatic cancer. When Project Purple was back in the Boston Marathon last year, Jackie knew it was a sign to run with us to honor her mother and she was going to finish the race no matter how she got there: https://lnkd.in/eEjAC_be

Meet Kevin King's grandchildren. They have started a new tradition to honor their papa's memory every World Pancreatic Cancer Day by wearing purple for their papa. Kevin was posthumously inducted into our Hall of Fame in 2023 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. His grandchildren continue to raise crucial awareness for this disease in a powerful tribute to their papa's legacy.

Judy Taylor was diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma in August 2021 after some uncertain and subtle symptoms started to present themselves. A successful Whipple was completed in January of 2022. After her procedure, Judy continued with her chemotherapy until May of 2022. She has been cancer-free ever since. This year, her daughter, Candace ran the NYC Marathon in honor of her mom's journey.
