Offers paid summer internships in the life science industry, for college students from under-resourced backgrounds.
关于我们
Project Onramp creates access to paid summer internships for undergraduate students who are from low-income backgrounds -- helping to bridge the opportunity gap for these promising young people. The program operates in five cities: Boston, the Bay Area (CA), San Diego, Philadelphia and NY. We are a program of Life Science Cares. Project Onramp host companies commit or create internships for these high-performing students. You can set aside an established internship for Onramp candidates, or create new positions for Onramp to fill. Internships are not limited to STEM-related roles—we can match you with talented candidates with interest in business development, administration, HR, finance, IT, marketing, etc. We will send you several resumes for each internship position, and you will use your existing review and hiring processes to choose the student who best fits your needs. There is no cost to the program, other than the requirement to offer a paid summer internship. These internships are transformational for students, who gain both technical and other skills throughout the summer. Project Onramp provides professional development workshops, mentorship and industry networking opportunities for undergraduates who are part of the program.

Former Computational Chemistry Intern @ MOMA Therapeutics | ML/Software Engineer Seeking Full-Time Opportunities | Applied ML & AI
I thank God for the amazing internship experience at MOMA Therapeutics! Over the summer, I had the privilege to work alongside Shannon Lamond, Derya Balata, Daria Mandel, and some of the most talented and supportive individuals, each of whom helped me in my career and professional development. I was in the Computational Chemistry team, where I got involved in various AI-based projects to enhance drug discovery, leveraging the use of LLMs and neural networks. I want to thank my managers Xin Cindy Yan and Ryan Byrne, and my mentors Daniel Myung, Abhishek Alexander, and Hans Bitter for guiding me through the projects and giving me advice on career decisions. Thank you, Computational Sciences team, for showing me how to work together. Thank you, all MOMAtes, for showing me how exciting biotech is. I’m proud of the work that each of you has put in! Finally, I’d like to thank Project Onramp for helping us students get involved in life sciences. This wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing team you have, and we’re grateful for the doors that you guys have opened for us. Thank you all! More adventures to come ?????? #biotech #lifesciences #drugdiscovery #internship #ai

Thank you so much to BioMed Realty for hosting the Boston Project Onramp Internship Showcase for the second year in a row at your incredible, light-filled space! We appreciate your support!
As we wrap up another successful season of Project Onramp internships through Life Science Cares Boston, we couldn’t be prouder of the incredible work our 186 interns have accomplished this summer. ?? ?? ? Last week, we had the pleasure of highlighting their hard work at our Internship Showcase. It was inspiring to see how much they’ve learned and grown in just a few short months—with some even being offered full time roles. We can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next. ? A huge thank you to our sponsors, corporate partners, and managers for believing in our mission and supporting the next generation of talent in the life sciences. We couldn’t have done this work without your support! ?? #ProjectOnramp #InternshipShowcase #LifeSciences #EarlyTalent

I'm excited to dedicate my first LinkedIn post to my incredible internship experience at The Bowdoin Group. Over the past 8 weeks, being part of such an outstanding team has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity. During my time at The Bowdoin Group, I had the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of the business, including data entry, marketing, business development research, sourcing, and accounting. I even got to conduct my own research on the impact of Al in the recruiting industry, which was very interesting! This role truly offered me a well-rounded, 360-degree view of the company. I'd like to give a special shoutout to my manager, Ariana Hegarty. Her mentorship was incredibly valuable; she provided continuous support and made an effort to check in regularly, ensuring I was learning and growing throughout the internship. I really could not have done it without her!? I also want to thank everyone at The Bowdoin Group who involved me in various projects and offered their support. My internship wouldn't have been complete without you all! Finally, a big thank you to Project Onramp for connecting me with The Bowdoin Group, which allowed me to gain insight into the life sciences industry. Additionally, the professional development sessions provided by Project Onramp were both helpful and insightful. Thank you all for making this summer so impactful and rewarding!??

We tell students that company culture is something they should be discerning about, as they make career decisions. It's great to see Cleidi Argueta, who is a student of Business Administration with concentrations in Global Business and Finance?at Boston University, enjoying the culture at Moderna so much. Thank you Jill van der Poel and Chloe Jensen for giving Cleidi and Project Onramp this opportunity! #lifescience #summerinterns #earlytalent
