The first-ever Community Impact Award recipients are: ??Camp Echo Lake ??Elmwood Day Camp ??Gate Hill Day Camp ??Ivy League Day Camp ??In 1999 our first Camps That Give participated in a swim-a-thon that raised over $50,000, These exemplary camps are four of those original Camps That Give, who are still active in our Camps That Give program today! ??From Executive Director Dawn Ewing: “How lucky are we to celebrate the remarkable support and partnership of Echo Lake, Elmwood, Gate Hill, and Ivy League?! ??American Camp Association, New York and New Jersey Tri-State Conference was a success! ??Our Program team had a blast learning from and connecting with some of the brightest lights in the camp community. ??Our Social Emotional Wellness Consultant, Kristen Mercado, led an empowering presentation “Anxiety at Camp: What to Say and When to Say It.” ??We loved cheering on and learning from Kristen, and are grateful to have her bring this work to our organization, as Social Emotional Learning is a cornerstone of our Program. ??We can’t wait to get back to work, inspired and ready to continue providing the power of camp and its benefits to our students this upcoming summer and year-round! #TSCamp2025 #SocialEmotionalLearning #ProjectMorry #ProjectMorryProgram #SummerCamp #YearRoundLearning

??This month is #WomensHistoryMonth! ??Did you know that we are a women-led organization? Our beloved Executive Director Dawn Ewing and Chief Program Officer Deb C. Jones lead the charge in empowering our youth daily! ??Did you know that we offer a female-empowerment program? Carol’s Circle, named after Carol Kestenbaum, plays a critical role in providing the safety, mentoring and encouragement that female-identifying students need to address and overcome traditional gender stereotypes and expectations. ??In small group activities, our female-identifying students have an opportunity to share their experiences through discussion, projects and games that explore issues of self-worth, including stress management, peer pressure, body image and the impact of negative messages on girls and young women. ??We are proud to celebrate women and their impact on and in our organization today, and every day.
