We Built It… in Miniature! ??? At Project Luong, we are not just designing buildings we are bringing them to life, fun-sized first. Our latest toy (okay, it’s a very serious architectural tool) is a state-of-the-art 3D printer, and it’s changing the game for how we visualize and refine our projects. Need to see how that roofline hits just right? Want to feel the layout of a space in the palm of your hand? Boom ... printed. ??? Our 3D models let us sweat the small stuff early catching issues, testing ideas, and making sure everything fits together like it should (before it’s made of concrete and steel). Plus, it’s way cooler than squinting at paper plans. Check out some of our latest mini-masterpieces and stay tuned we are just getting started with this tech. Big things (and tiny models) ahead! #DoingMore #InnovationInDesign #3DPrinting

From a Knock on the Door to an Architecture Internship ??? On a random Friday afternoon, Yecica Lopez walked up to our office completely unannounced and asked if we had any internship openings. That kind of tenacity? We couldn’t say no. Fast forward, and she’s now part of the Project Luong team. Her journey as a first-generation college student balancing family, school, and her dream of becoming an architect is nothing short of inspiring. Check out her story and you’ll see why we’re so glad she knocked on our door. ?? https://lnkd.in/gydeNSw8 #DoingMore #ArchitectureJourney #InternshipStory #FutureArchitect

?? Revitalizing Community Spaces: The Briarhills Community Center ?? ? In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the Briarhills Community Center faced immense challenges, with much of the original clubhouse left in ruins. Project Luong took on the task of not just rebuilding but reimagining the space to better serve the community. ? Our comprehensive plan focused on unifying the site, enhancing circulation, and breathing new life into the aging playground. At the heart of this redesign is a central lawn, creating a welcoming focal point and gathering space for residents. This area seamlessly connects key elements like the new clubhouse, basketball court ??, and playground through thoughtfully designed radial walkways. ? A key aspect of our design was the integration of the site’s beloved shade trees. These mature trees were carefully preserved and now serve as a defining feature of the updated playground ??, providing both beauty and natural comfort for all who visit. ? The Briarhills Community Center now stands as a testament to resilience and innovation, offering a vibrant, modern space where the community can come together, play, and thrive. We are proud to have been part of this transformation and invite you to experience the renewed spirit of Briarhills. ?? ? #DoingMore?#Community #PlaygroundDesign

Big news, folks! Our very own Alec Luong, AIA RID CM, Principal and Managing Partner, is taking the stage as one of the panelists at Women in Architecture 2025 Equity Series! ?? Hosted by AIA Houston Alec will be sharing the story behind Project Luong—how we stopped complaining, dreaming, and fearing, and instead built a firm that does architecture differently. We chose people over profits, dignity over deadlines, and growth over grind. Turns out, that approach didn’t just work—it thrived. Come hear Alec speak on what it means to be expansive in a profession that too often narrows itself. Expect some real talk, a few laughs, and maybe a curse word or two (we keep it honest). ?? This is more than a talk—it’s a chance to support someone who champions treating employees like humans, unlocking hidden talent, and proving you can win without losing your soul. We’d love to see you there. Come hang with us, hear the panels thoughts, and join the conversation about where our industry is heading. ?? When: March 6 ?? Where: El Dorado Ballroom ?? Event Info: https://lnkd.in/g5wbdt9h Let’s show up, support, and keep Doing More. See you there! #DoingMore #AIA #ValuebyDesign

As February ?? winds down, we’re reflecting on two incredible events we had the privilege of supporting this month both championing education ?? and opportunity for students right here in Houston. ?? Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory of Houston - VIVA Gala 2025 ?? Cristo Rey Jesuit isn’t just a school it’s a launching pad for students who might otherwise face limited opportunities. Their work-study program equips students with real-world experience while providing a top-notch education. We were thrilled to support their mission! ?? The Gateway Academy - Bowling for Gateway ?? The Gateway Academy is doing equally vital work, creating an environment where students with learning differences can thrive. We hit the lanes to bowl (some of us better than others) in support of their innovative and inclusive approach to education. At Project Luong, our expansive approach to people, projects, and practice extends beyond our office walls. We believe in Doing More and that means supporting education for all students, because every child deserves a chance to succeed. Investing in students today means investing in the future thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders who will shape our city and beyond. We’re grateful to Cristo Rey Jesuit and The Gateway Academy for the work they do and for letting us be a small part of their stories. Here’s to building a future where every student gets the opportunity they deserve. #DoingMore #Education
