We're confronting one of the defining issues of our generation: the mental health crisis. Are you in?
关于我们
Who we are: Project Healthy Minds is a new millennial/Gen Z-driven non-profit startup focused on tackling one of the defining issues of our generation: the growing mental health crisis. The problem we're solving: 615 million people worldwide and 65 million Americans are diagnosed with a mental health condition, and yet 60% never get mental health support. There are three drivers of this "treatment gap": (1) the stigmatization of the health topic, (2) people don’t know where/how to access care, and (3) insurance constraints and a workforce shortage preclude too many people from being able to afford care. What we do: We're building a digital discovery marketplace (think Kayak.com or Expedia for discovering mental health services) -- to make it easier to find mental health care. We're building an unprecedented national anti-stigma and education campaign featuring celebrities -- to destigmatize mental health and meet millennials/Gen Z where they actually are. We're creating the first national standards for what businesses should do to better serve the mental health needs of their employees -- to expand availability of care.

Reflecting our focus on elevating awareness and understanding for the role of insurance in creating a positive impact, AXIS was onsite at #Davos for the World Economic Forum’s Annual meeting. During our time in Davos, AXIS convened and participated in conversations with global leaders, innovators, and change-makers on emerging risks and building a more resilient and sustainable world. From political and economic risk, to extreme weather and energy transition, to cyber risk and AI, the conversations were rich and productive. A crucial topic of discussion was the mental health epidemic and we were proud to partner with Project Healthy Minds (PHM) to host a series of roundtable discussions led by AXIS CEO Vincent Tizzio and PHM Founder and CEO Phillip Schermer. As part of our advocacy for the insurance industry, AXIS also partnered with Financial Times to host a FT Live webinar discussion on how insurers can empower companies to adapt and strengthen long-term resilience.? ? Thank you to all who joined us in these meaningful conversations, and we look forward to building on the discussions to drive progress in 2025 and beyond. #Leadership #Sustainability #Innovation #GlobalCollaboration #Insurance #Risk??

Thrilled to share that I will be in Davos next week for #WEF2025. I’m honored to join global leaders, innovators, and changemakers to shine a light on one of the most urgent issues of our time: the growing mental health crisis. Thanks to Vincent Tizzio & Joe Cohen at AXIS (AXIS Capital) -- and our partners KPMG and ServiceNow -- we are able to bring the Project Healthy Minds mission to the forefront at the World Economic Forum and continue building a world where access to mental health care is universal. If you'll be at Davos, let's meet up! Excited to share updates from our programming as we advocate for a healthier, stronger future.

We're thrilled to announce?that Jody Gerson, Chairman & CEO of Universal Music Group, is joining the Project Healthy Minds Board of Directors! As the first female chairman of a global music company and a pioneering leader in the industry, Jody’s groundbreaking vision and dedication to innovation have reshaped music and culture. We’re thrilled to have her expertise, insight, and passion as we work together to tackle the mental health crisis and accelerate our impact. As Jody shared: "As a music executive, I’ve made it my life’s work to represent and protect artists and songwriters. Not only to help ensure that their creativity is respected and valued, but that their mental health and well-being are never overlooked on my watch. Anxiety and other mental health issues often walk hand-in-hand with artistry, and it’s my responsibility to let the creative people I work with know that they don’t have to deal with these issues on their own. In turn, artists can help to publicly dispel the notion that surviving in an often lonely and isolating world is just a matter of toughening up. Life is not easy, and seeking care for good mental health needs to be both destigmatized and encouraged. I’m honored to join the board of Project Healthy Minds and help fulfill Phil Schermer’s vision to bring the availability of mental health care to anyone who wants and needs it." We're so grateful to Deerfield Management and the Deerfield Foundation for their generous philanthropic support of Project Healthy Minds as we help people find mental health services where and when they need it.
Project Healthy Minds is a new millennial/Gen Z-driven non-profit startup focused on tackling one of the defining issues of our generation: the growing mental health crisis. The #DeerfieldFoundation is proud to support Project Healthy Minds and the work they have done to significantly expand access to mental health resources for American youth, a group that faces considerable barriers to care. During the MVP/beta phase of their digital mental health marketplace (prior to Deerfield’s support of Version 2.0), they exceeded expectations by reaching nearly 400,000 unique users over ~30 months. Since launching V2 on October 8, they have already served over 3,000 new unique users. Project Healthy Minds is dedicated to closing the treatment gap for the 60% of Americans who have mental health conditions but never access care by attacking three barriers to accessing care: stigma, discoverability, and affordability.
