Delivering Health & Hope to the World

关于我们

Project C.U.R.E. was founded in 1987 to address the staggering shortage of medical resources around the world. Since our humble beginnings in a garage in Colorado, Project C.U.R.E. has become the world’s largest distributor of donated medical supplies, equipment and services to doctors and nurses serving the sick and dying in more than 130 countries. Each week Project C.U.R.E. delivers approximately three to five semitruck-sized ocean containers packed with the medical equipment and supplies desperately needed to save lives in hospitals and clinics in resource-limited countries. In addition, each year hundreds of healthcare professionals travel with Project C.U.R.E. to provide medical treatment to communities in need and training to those dedicated to serving them. Project C.U.R.E. is supported by over 25,000 volunteers annually and operates distribution warehouses in seven U.S. cities. In addition to our global work, Project C.U.R.E. pivoted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support the need for PPE and medical equipment in the U.S. Since March 2020, Project C.U.R.E. provided more than 15 semitruck loads of medical aid, which equates to 4.5+ million pieces and nearly $5 million of PPE for healthcare workers and first responders. Project C.U.R.E. continues on the frontline of the battle against the pandemic by providing millions of dollars of COVID-19 aid on a weekly basis.

Had such a great time volunteering at Project C.U.R.E.’s Prom with a Purpose last week! We packed over 100 Kits for Kids and helped raise money to send medical supplies to communities around the world. It was a fun night with an even better purpose. Amazing to see the impact CU Pharmacy student organizations have had through the Kits for Kids drive. Grateful to have been part of both the campus drive and this event!

Last Thursday, I had the chance to attend Project C.U.R.E.’s Prom with a Purpose Gala alongside WorldDenver. It was an inspiring evening celebrating global health, connection, and community impact. From medical aid shipments to strengthening healthcare systems around the world, Project C.U.R.E. continues to show what it means to turn purpose into action — all while throwing one heck of a prom! Grateful for the chance to support this mission with fellow globally-minded professionals. #GlobalHealth #CommunityImpact #WorldDenver #ProjectCURE #PromWithAPurpose #DenverEvents

Today, on World Health Day, we join the global conversation around this year’s theme – maternal and newborn health, highlighting the need to ensure safer pregnancies and healthier futures for mothers and babies. Through our partnership with Project C.U.R.E., Newmont has delivered medical supplies, equipment and life-saving training to healthcare facilities in regions where we operate. Since 2014, the C.U.R.E. College Essential Newborn Care (ENC) program has helped equip 1,400+ birth attendants globally with skills and knowledge to provide care at the most vulnerable period in a baby’s life. In 2024, the program facilitated four ENC training trips to communities near Newmont mine sites in Ghana, reaching 55 local birth attendants and eight local master trainers. Participants in these trainings represented over 20 health facilities or clinics in mine-affected and fenceline communities. After the spring training: ➡️ 90% of facilities had retained an ENC graduate or master trainer on staff ➡️ 95% maintained zero stillbirths or had a decrease in stillbirths ➡️ 100% of ENC-certified healthcare workers reported higher confidence in their neonatal resuscitation skills We are proud to work alongside Project C.U.R.E. to support maternal and newborn health, creating value and improving lives in the communities where we live and work. #Newmont #WorldHealthDay

    Executive Director | Fundraising Expertise

🌟 A HUGE thank you to Brownell and Abercrombie & Kent USA Philanthropy from Project C.U.R.E. for an incredible evening of giving back! 🌍✨ This Tuesday at the Four Seasons Chicago, the amazing team at Brownell Travel assembled 400 Kits for Kids to provide personal hygiene and basic “medicine cabinet” items that are scarce in under-resourced communities and children impacted by crisis. But that’s not all – they went above and beyond by raising funds to ship two containers of medical supplies to under-resourced hospitals in Uganda! 🙌 Keith Sproule, Executive Director of Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy, perfectly summed it up: “The evening was a perfect storm of positive impact – working with the Brownell Travel Agency together with Project CURE to deliver not one, but TWO containers of medical equipment and supplies to our AKP partners on the ground in Bwindi, Uganda is the perfect demonstration of how the travel and tourism industry can collaborate to uplift communities in the destinations where our guests travel.” 🌏❤️ Thank you, Brownell and AKP, for your partnership in helping Project C.U.R.E. deliver health and hope throughout the world to those who need it most. 💚 #GivingBack #CommunityImpact #ProjectCURE #BrownellTravel #AbercrombieKent #Philanthropy #HealthAndHope #KitsForKids Brian Bourke James Murphy, CPWA®

Regional Key Account Manager, Medtronic Patient Monitoring

Today marks 17 years with Medtronic…17 reasons I’m grateful! 1.) Tenet 5 of our mission- “To recognize the personal worth of all employees by providing an employment framework that allows personal satisfaction in work accomplished, security, advancement opportunity, and means to share in the company's success.” -there is no question the investment my employer has put in me, personally and professionally 2.) I get to help, every day, people who show up, 100% of themselves, and care for strangers. Like…a lot. 3.) I’m challenged. 4.) I’m purposed. 5.) I’m immersed in both local and global matters. 6.) I’m inspired daily by some of the smartest people on the planet…brilliant engineers, doctors, finance and supply chain navigators, and so importantly- extraordinary and heroic nurses and respiratory therapists. 7.) I work alongside peers who make me better. 8.) I get to be a guest in almost every corner of the hospital. Truly, I’m in awe of care across every service line and department of the hospital and am honored to play a part in their patients’ care. 9.) I work for an organization that touches at least 2 patients every second of the day. And we are over 90,000 employees strong, singular in mind together to help others. 10.) I can’t not mention charitable…Medtronic gives back to the local nonprofits I care about…generous company matches, grants, and more. 11.) WELLTHY and other benefits- priceless for someone like me (and many, many others) who plays dual role of caregiver at home. 12.) Value of health equity- not only doing the hard work with our technology, but investment in our communities. 13.) Employee Resource Groups- strong ones! ABLED, ASPIRE, CERG…these acronyms have meaning behind them in creating a better workplace. 14.) Quality is at the forefront of everything we do. Which is glued to safety. 15.) So is integrity- and doing things the right way. 16.) My boss, and my boss’s boss, and my boss’s boss’s boss care about me and my family. 17.) The friendships I’ve made here…they’re for a lifetime. I’m looking forward to many more. *Thank you, Jennifer Nelson , for taking a chance on me so many years ago. *Thank you, providers, for trusting me with your staff, your patients and our communities. What a privilege!
