Supply chains today are under constant pressure due to rising costs, unpredictable disruptions, and high customer expectations. Keeping up is now falling behind;?businesses need to stay ahead to gain a competitive edge. AI can help supply chain players gain that edge. Technologies like machine vision, machine learning (ML), and large language models (LLMs) are transforming supply chain operations, helping companies spot problems sooner, make smarter decisions, and run more efficiently than ever. Machine Vision: The Eyes of the?Supply Chains Think of machine vision as a highly intelligent set of eyes -- but better. AI-powered cameras and sensors are scanning production lines for quality issues, tracking inventory, and ensuring goods move seamlessly through the supply chain. What does this mean for supply chain managers and their bottom line?: -No more defective products?–?AI can detect quality issues instantly, preventing recalls and waste. -Better inventory accuracy – Machine vision improves barcode and RFID scanning, reducing misplaced shipments and eliminating errors. -Stronger security and compliance – AI-powered monitoring helps prevent theft and ensures compliance & safety standards are met. Machine Learning: From Guesswork to Precision Most supply chains rely on outdated forecasting models that struggle to keep up with real-world changes. Machine Learning changes the game by continuously learning from data and adapting in real-time. With ML, supply chain managers can now seamlessly: -Predict demand shifts before they happen and adjust inventory accordingly. -Identify supplier risks before they disrupt production. -Optimize delivery routes based on live traffic, weather conditions, and historical data. Large Language Models: Harnessing the Power of Data Supply chains generate a flood of data, from?emails and?reports to?contracts and shipment logs. But most of it sits untouched because extracting insights is time-consuming. Large Language Models can now step in to instantly harness this dormant data. Here’s how they’re changing the game: -Automating supplier communication – No more long email chains and unresponsive suppliers. -Instantly analyzing contracts and reports – Get key insights in seconds, not hours. -Enhancing customer service – AI-powered assistants provide real-time order updates and support for a seamless customer experience. Why This Matters for Supply Chain Leaders Where AI?was once just a buzzword, it's now transforming supply chains, and companies that leverage its technologies -- machine vision, ML, and LLMs -- are reducing waste, improving efficiency, and making faster, smarter decisions. Production planning has never been simple. Manufacturers are constantly juggling shifting demand, supplier delays, labor availability, machine capacity, logistical holdups -- the list goes on. And despite how crucial it is, production scheduling is often built on rigid forecasts, manual adjustments, and disconnected systems that make adapting to today's real-world disruptions a nightmare. One late shipment or machine breakdown can throw everything off balance. Suddenly, teams are scrambling, costs are rising, and customer deadlines are drawing near. Traditional scheduling tools weren’t built for today’s supply chain complexity, and businesses still utilizing these outdated systems often find themselves falling behind. But?AI production scheduling solutions?give businesses back that competitive edge. Why Traditional Scheduling No Longer Works in Today's Supply Chain Most production schedules follow a static plan. They work fine, as long as nothing changes. But the reality in today's world is that something is?always?changing. Unexpected logistics bottlenecks, supplier hiccups, demand fluctuations -- teams relying on old scheduling methods are left constantly fighting fires. This results in wasted resources, inefficiencies, poor customer sentiment, and missed opportunities to optimize production. AI-powered production scheduling takes the opposite approach. Instead of reacting to problems, AI anticipates disruptions, optimizes schedules in real time, and helps manufacturers stay ahead. How AI?Makes Production Scheduling Smarter: -Real-time adjustments without guesswork?– AI continuously analyzes supply, demand, labor, and machine capacity, automatically fine-tuning production schedules. -Spotting problems before they happen?– Machine learning identifies risks like supplier delays, equipment failures, or labor shortages before they become costly disruptions. -Better resource allocation?– AI optimizes how materials, labor, and production lines are used, cutting down on waste and improving efficiency. -Smarter "what-if" planning?– AI can model different scenarios, offering manufacturers alternative solutions to potential disruptions. -Faster, more reliable deliveries?– By keeping production aligned with real-time demand and logistics, AI-driven scheduling helps businesses fulfill orders on time, every time. Why This Matters for Supply Chain Leaders For supply chain executives, the real question isn’t whether AI-powered scheduling is useful;?it’s how long they can afford to keep relying on outdated methods. In today’s fast-moving, unpredictable world, companies that plan smarter and adapt faster will always have the competitive edge. The future of production belongs to businesses that embrace agility and efficiency, and AI is the key to getting there.?Is your scheduling ready for what’s next? Let’s talk about how Auxo can help you stay ahead.?www.projectauxo.io #SupplyChain #AI #Manufacturing #ProductionPlanning #SupplyChainInnovation

  • Supply chain disruptions are a constant in today's global market. One day, it’s a raw material shortage. The next, it’s port congestion, a labor strike, or shifting consumer demand driven by social media. In a world where unpredictability is the norm, real-time visibility is essential. The problem? Many businesses still rely on outdated systems: spreadsheets, disconnected ERPs, and data silos that keep teams disconnected. By the time an issue rears its head, it's too late to do anything but react in hopes of minimizing the damage. But now, AI-powered control towers offer businesses a proactive approach to supply chain management, helping them to get ahead and stay ahead in a world full of unknowns. From Data Overload to Actionable Insights An AI-powered control tower isn’t just another dashboard; it’s your supply chain command center. It pulls in data from every corner of your network, analyzing trends, predicting disruptions, and delivering real-time recommendations to keep operations running smoothly. Here’s how it makes a difference: -Real-time, end-to-end visibility – No more chasing updates from suppliers or scrambling for answers. AI consolidates data across your entire supply chain, giving you a clear, live view of what’s happening in real time. -Predicting problems before they happen – Instead of reacting to delays, AI spots risks early. From material shortages to unexpected surges in demand, AI can spot the problem in advance and suggest alternative solutions. -Smarter, faster decision-making – AI-driven insights help you reroute shipments, optimize inventory, and adjust production plans in real time, keeping unanticipated disruptions from turning into costly disasters. -Continuous learning and optimization – The system doesn’t just solve today’s problems. It learns from patterns over time, enabling it to constantly refine forecasts and improve efficiency with every cycle. A Game-Changed for Supply Chain Leaders For C-suite executives and decision makers, supply chain blind spots aren’t just frustrating -- they’re expensive. A lack of real-time insights can lead to stockouts, bloated inventory costs, inefficient freight spending, and missed customer expectations. In today’s competitive market, companies that anticipate problems coming will always outpace those that are stuck in reactive mode, scrambling for solutions when it's already too late. AI-powered control towers are no longer just a futuristic concept. Today, they've become a necessity for companies that want to stay ahead of the market. It's no longer a question of whether a business needs better visibility -- it's whether they're ready to make the shift before the next disruption hits. Are you prepared for the next supply chain challenge? AI-powered visibility can give you an edge. Connect with Auxo and let's discuss what that looks like for your needs! www.projectauxo.io #SupplyChain?#AI?#RealTimeVisibility?#Logistics?#SupplyChainInnovation?#CsuiteLeadership

  • As the past few years have proven, traditional supply chain forecasting is no longer a match for today’s reality, where demand shifts overnight, disruptions appear out of nowhere, and consumer behavior is more unpredictable than ever. Still, many supply chain companies rely on outdated forecasting models that lean heavily on historical data. The problem? These models assume the future will look like the past -- which we all now is rarely the case in our modern world. Why Traditional Forecasting Doesn’t Cut It Anymore We see it happen all the time:?Natural disasters wipe out key suppliers. Viral TikTok trends send demand for niche products through the roof. Competitors launch unexpected promotions that shift consumer spending. Those assumptions that once held true -- stable demand patterns, predictable market conditions, and reliable supplier networks -- are no longer guarantees. But these kinds of disruptions happen all the time, and static forecasting models don’t account for them. By the time businesses utilizing these models react, it’s often too late. AI Changes the Game AI-driven forecasting and demand sensing come in with a different approach.?Instead of relying solely on past sales data, AI analyzes real-time information from a variety of sources, including: -Market trends and economic indicators -Social media trends and breaking news -Competitor pricing and promotional activity -Global weather patterns and geopolitical risks AI?continuously monitors these signals, doing more than just predicting demand -- it senses it as it unfolds. This gives businesses the power to?adapt in real-time, avoiding costly stockouts, excess inventory, and last-minute logistical nightmares. AI-Powered Forecasting: A New Competitive Edge Companies that utilize AI-driven demand sensing technologies are seeing significant benefits over the competition: -More accurate forecasts?that reduce errors by up to 50% -Better inventory management, preventing both shortages and overstock -Greater agility, allowing supply chain teams to pivot before disruptions escalate -Stronger profitability, as waste and holding costs shrink while customer satisfaction rises Future-Proof Your Supply Chain The supply chain leaders of the future won’t just react to change --?they’ll proactively anticipate and prepare for?it. AI-driven forecasting systems by Project?Auxo?gives companies the visibility and agility they need to thrive in an unpredictable world. Project Auxo is on a mission to transform the supply chain industry, and we couldn't do it without our talented team! One key player driving our mission forward is Scott Underwood, AI Strategy & Implementation expert. Scott's unique blend of technical expertise, out-of-the-box thinking, and passion for superior service is helping make our vision a reality. After spending the early part of his career in the construction industry, Scott's childhood passion for computers and desire for a less labor-intensive job led him to his first tech job. "As a kid, I'd spend weekends taking apart my PC, breaking it, and figuring out how to fix it," he said. A Craigslist ad led him to his first position making cold calls at a tech company. With a newfound love for the fact-paced, innovative startup world, Scott spent the next several years in Customer Success roles at various startups, eventually landing at?monday.com. Scott's proudest career moment came during his time there. "Seeing that company through from a startup all the way through to IPO and helping shape it along the way -- that's my biggest career accomplishment," he said. Scott stepped into new territory joining former colleague Patrick Schmied at Project Auxo. "Auxo has been my first professional foray into AI and Machine Learning. AI has changed the way I see the world and look for solutions. I love learning new technology, even when it means banging my head against my desk until I figure it out." The unique opportunity to shape Auxo's company culture also drew him in. "You only get one chance to build company culture for the first time. That's top of mind for me 100% of the time at Auxo -- being a good coworker and making sure everyone's taken care of," Scott said. Scott also emphasizes the importance of Auxo's mission. "The times we live in just keep getting weirder, and the supply chain affects 99.9% of people. Auxo's mission helps alleviate some of those issues so everyone can live life without having to worry about where to buy toilet paper or eggs." Outside of work, Scott enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his 18-year-old wiener dog, Spud. And when he’s in the kitchen, he’s cooking up everything from sourdough bread to homemade beef jerky. We're grateful to have Scott on the Project Auxo team, as his impact has already been felt in significant ways in improving our AI solutions and shaping our company culture. Beyond Auxo, Scott's curiosity, dedication, and expertise are helping shape a future where businesses can adapt and thrive in an ever-changing world. #AI #MachineLearning #SupplyChainInnovation #TechStartups #Leadership #CustomerService #AIimplementation #SupplyChainExcellence #Innovation #Sustainability #TechCulture #StartupLife
